I am a Holistic Health Practitioner with a Master of Nutrition degree from NC State and am Triple Board Certified in: Holistic Nutrition®, Lifestyle Medicine and as a National Health & Wellness Coach. The latter credential ultimately helps facilitate the behavioral/lifestyle changes my clients are seeking. Being diagnosed with Celiac Disease as a child in 1986, food and health have been a big part of my life. This was the impetus for my work to help others attempt to live their healthiest and best lives through food and nutrition.
I worked in the food service industry for more than 20 years. I’ve worked in restaurants, as a nutritional consultant, catering, a five-star hotel and owned the first gluten free bakery in my area. My husband is a Chef with a degree from Louisiana Culinary Institute. We frequently work together with clients to combine our two skills in hopes of helping our clients more efficiently and effectively incorporate long lasting life changes for overall health.
I typically have clients come to me after they have tried most, or all of the Allopathic avenues presented to them, with little to no avail. Working with a client’s current medical team to best serve them is my preference. Between my areas of expertise, and that of their existing team, the hope is to work together to give the client back their power to live their highest and best life, despite whatever their medical diagnosis may be.

I have been a physician for over 47 years in Oregon. I am retired but volunteer my time at free clinics, teach free community classes, and council for free those wishing to transition to a more whole food plant based lifestyle. I have spent 8 years in Family Practice, almost 27 years in Emergency Medicine, and the last 12 years in Lifestyle Medicine. My goal is to help transform the practice of medicine from a “pill for every ill” to treating the root causes of our chronic illnesses.

Hello! I am a physician specializing in General Preventive Medicine and Public Health and Lifestyle Medicine and am excited to work with individuals on their health goals through the evidence-based pillars of lifestyle medicine. I have spent most of my career in global health, mainly in Africa and SE Asia. In developing global guidelines and working with clinical teams to adapt and implement these health algorithms for chronic conditions in different countries and regions, I learned firsthand how important it is to talk about food, movement, treatment plans, and overall health in the context of patients’ goals and life situations. This is what I do with patients in my practice. I believe in a team approach to health care and work with patients to meet them where they are at in their own health journey and empower them to move towards where they want to be.
I have practised Emergency Medicine for many years. I am used to seeing patients with numerous chronic medical problems, but who have acute complications which land them in hospital. Most have only the vaguest idea about how lifestyle has influenced their conditions, and have never been told how moving toward a whole food plant based diet is likely to improve their state of health, or even possibly reverse some of their most serious problems. I see my opportunity to inform patients of this use of lifestyle, particularly diet, sleep, exercise and stress management, in reducing risks of further hospitalizations.
It brings me great joy that you are here and interested in a plant-based provider for your journey. I myself have always had a love of science so I obtained a B.S. in Biology. Since then, my passion for health and wellness has blossomed and continues to evolve with time.
Having encountered my own chronic health conditions, I found healing in a plant-based lifestyle accompanied with lifestyle modification.
I embarked on this journey to heal myself and now my mission and passion is to help share this information with others. As a 35 year old mother of two, I know what it’s like to lose your health but also what it is like to regain one’s quality of life. My goal is to help you improve your life and to help you give your body the support it needs to heal!
I take a holistic approach and incorporate health and wellness coaching, nutrition, and movement into my practice and my signature program. These are available on an a la carte basis but I truly believe the best approach to disease prevention and healing is a comprehensive one.

Whether you’re transitioning to plant-based eating or looking to improve your overall well-being, I’m here to provide education, guidance, and support through the entire journey.
A little backstory about me, my plant-based journey began with an eye-opening moment: watching a documentary in my high school health class that exposed me to the origins of our food system. This opened my eyes to our food system and how little I realized our food choices deeply impact our personal health, the health of the planet, and the wellbeing of animals. With these realizations, further research, and personal growth, I fully embraced a whole food plant centered lifestyle and haven’t looked back. Experiencing the benefits firsthand such as more energy, improved wellness, and clarity—solidified my mission to help others achieve the same. I’m passionate about showing how small but intentional changes can prevent lifestyle-related illnesses and create a healthier, more vibrant life. If you’re looking for someone who will support you every step of the way on your plant-based journey, I’m here for you. Let’s make those health goals a reality—together!
