I’m Coach Marsha, a certified health and wellness coach specializing in plant-based nutrition and lifestyle change for individuals diagnosed with prediabetes and type 2 diabetes. My approach is rooted in evidence-based strategies and a deep belief in the power of the body to heal when given the right support. I hold certifications through the National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF), the Food Revolution Network, and eCornell’s Plant-Based Nutrition Program. I left a career in corporate America to pursue my passion for helping people reclaim their health naturally and sustainably.

I work with clients who are ready to make real lifestyle changes—physically, mentally, and emotionally—without restrictive diets or gimmicks. My coaching is client-centered and grounded in motivational interviewing and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Whether through personalized coaching or digital programs, I help people take small, powerful steps toward lasting blood sugar control, weight loss, and overall well-being.

Luis Barata is an Autonomous Nurse Practitioner and dual board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner and by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. His professional background also includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Havana Cuba, board certified Family Medicine Physician and Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Chile. His primary area of interest is Family Medicine. Luis is a firm believer in setting a good example for his patients by making healthy lifestyle choices such as exercise and plant-based nutrition. He was born in Cuba and a resident of Florida for over 15 years, bilingual in both English & Spanish. Luis is passionate about preventative medicine and helping his patients understand how to effectively manage their conditions. Luis is happily married; in his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and our beautiful southwest Florida beaches.
