After receiving my Doctor of Medicine degree in 1984, I began using my expertise in Holistic Healing to a sound scientific evidence-based Integrative Medicine practice. I am also a certified Zumba and MixxedFit instructor. I truly believe that true health must be a balance of the Body, Emotion and Spirit equally and every treatment has to take all into account. Epigenetics is also an important part of the process. My passion is Chronic Diseases – especially when a patient is told that they will have to take a medication for the rest of their life. I know what it feels like to face a diagnosis that stops you in your tracks. After surviving melanoma twice, cardiovascular disease, and then a life-threatening form of thyroid cancer, I made a decision: I wasn’t going to hand over my health to chance or settle for being told “take this pill for the rest of your life.” I chose to take back control, and that decision transformed everything.

My coaching blends evidence-based nutrition, movement, stress reduction, and holistic therapies to support deep healing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I’m a wife, mom, sister, best friend, author, nutritionist, geeky scientist, and outdoor enthusiast. My journey into wellness started with heartbreak, the sudden loss of my dad. It lit a fire in me to understand what really creates long-lasting health, and that search led me to embrace a whole new way of eating and living.

I dove headfirst into the science behind nutrition, earned multiple certifications in plant-based nutrition, culinary instruction, medicinal plants, and health coaching, and even when life threw me a cancer diagnosis, I kept going. That experience only deepened my passion and transformed my health in ways I never imagined.

​Now, I spend my days sharing everything I’ve learned with anyone ready to take back their health. I love being in the kitchen, teaching classes, coaching individuals, and geeking out over how food truly changes us at the cellular level. I’ve had the joy of working with many of the world’s top experts in nutrition and wellness, hosting them at my events, interviewing them, and learning alongside them.

I’m an an ANCC board certified Family Nurse Practitioner who earned my Doctor of Nursing (DNP) degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and certification in nutrition from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. My clinical interests and specialties include primary care and lifestyle medicine, integrative nutrition and gut health, hormone therapy, and gender-affirming care. I provide patients with comprehensive care that is tailored to meet their individual needs.

I have combined my background in law and policy with my clinical skills and passion for healthcare to advocate for my patients while providing equitable care for underserved and marginalized communities. While completing my doctoral education, I conducted both local and national research and co-authored peer-reviewed publications. I have investigated dental hygiene programs in Hawaii, healthcare worker wellness in Hawaii, and the attitudes and intentions of healthcare providers across the U.S. toward vaccines during COVID-19.

As a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, certified Nutritarian Coach, certified Mindfulness Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT) Instructor, Heroic Coach, with a certificate of completion in the Rouxbe Culinary School’s Forks Over Knives WFPB cooking course, I embody Whole Food Plant Based eating and am passionate about helping others to acquire the myriad of health benefits that this type of nourishment offers to body, mind, and spirit. I offer a sliding scale to insure that all people who want to take the incredible journey of self discovery toward greater longevity, balance, and a peaceful healthy relationship with food have this opportunity.

My own journey of health transformation began shortly before the COVID pandemic was in full force and has resulted in my releasing 180 lbs of excess weight. More than enjoying a normal BMI, I am no longer obsessed with getting my next hit of ultra processed hyper palatable industrialized fake food. I have immense freedom to live my life full out and I want to support you to have this same miracle in your life. I am a Holistic Health Practitioner with a Master of Nutrition degree from NC State and am Triple Board Certified in: Holistic Nutrition®, Lifestyle Medicine and as a National Health & Wellness Coach. The latter credential ultimately helps facilitate the behavioral/lifestyle changes my clients are seeking. Being diagnosed with Celiac Disease as a child in 1986, food and health have been a big part of my life. This was the impetus for my work to help others attempt to live their healthiest and best lives through food and nutrition.

I worked in the food service industry for more than 20 years. I’ve worked in restaurants, as a nutritional consultant, catering, a five-star hotel and owned the first gluten free bakery in my area. My husband is a Chef with a degree from Louisiana Culinary Institute. We frequently work together with clients to combine our two skills in hopes of helping our clients more efficiently and effectively incorporate long lasting life changes for overall health.

I typically have clients come to me after they have tried most, or all of the Allopathic avenues presented to them, with little to no avail. Working with a client’s current medical team to best serve them is my preference. Between my areas of expertise, and that of their existing team, the hope is to work together to give the client back their power to live their highest and best life, despite whatever their medical diagnosis may be.

I am a family medicine and lifestyle medicine specialist who moved to Guam after losing my home and medical practice in the 2018 Camp Fire disaster in Paradise, California. After two years serving the people of Micronesia, I accepted a position as medical director of the Rocky Mountain Lifestyle Center in Denver, Colorado. I have now transitioned into a new position with AdventHealth as a primary care physician at Advent Health Family Medicine – Castle Pines in Castle Pines, Colorado. I am board-certified in family medicine and lifestyle medicine. I’m a founding member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. I enjoy helping individuals regain health through plant-based nutrition, exercise, and other lifestyle changes.

I obtained my medical degree at Loma Linda School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California. Following graduation from Loma Linda University, I completed residency training in family medicine at Hinsdale Hospital near Chicago. During residency, I gave health lectures in Poland, Russia, and Serbia.

​I became interested in lifestyle medicine while in residency. I enjoyed seeing patients experience dramatic health improvements at Lifestyle Center of America during six years of medical practice at this residential Intensive Therapeutic Lifestyle Change (ITLC) program in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Before joining AdventHealth, I served as medical director at Rocky Mountain Lifestyle Center in Denver, Colorado.

​To share with a wider audience principles leading to exciting health improvements, I co-hosted Total Health, a weekly radio talk show aired over 91.9 FM, JoyFM Radio Guam, and continued this passion in Denver on KPLS AM 1500. Also, I have authored the book, “Dr Arnott’s 24 Realistic Ways to Improve Your Health”, now also available in Spanish.

​I met my wife, Sylvia, while in residency training at Hinsdale Hospital. We have three children. We enjoy spending time together in nature, formerly in the coral reefs of Guam, and now in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I also enjoy scuba diving, backpacking, off-roading, bird watching, Pickleball, and medical mission trips with my family.

LIFESTYLE MEDICINE CONSULTATION – A great way to get started. I work with you individually to help you get a great start on making positive lifestyle changes in every area of your life. You will fill out a comprehensive assessment about your history, lifestyle habits, stress and goals. We’ll schedule a 1-on-1 Zoom session for approximately 2 hours to review your information, so I can provide information, and we’ll develop a strategic plan of action.
INDIVIDUAL LIFESTYLE MEDICINE COACHING – Sessions are usually once a week for an hour, customized to your needs.

Zachary Burns DO, MPH is board certified in family medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine. He practices primary care in Rochester, NY. He also serves as Associate Director for Moving Medicine Forward, a non-profit led by Dr. Michael Klaper that is building a new generation of physicians who are prepared to tackle our chronic disease burden. A plant-based nutrition advocate, Dr. Burns practices medicine to improve the lives of human and non-human beings.

Dr. Morgan is the Founder and Executive Medical Director of the nonprofit organization, Ozark Center for Lifestyle Medicine (OCLM), in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She is certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine and the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. Morgan completed her medical training at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, LA, and the Master of Public Health degree at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in Baltimore, MD. She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society and the Delta Omega Public Health Honor Society.

Dr. Morgan provides in-depth one-on-one patient visits for those interested in improving their health by applying the principles of Lifestyle Medicine. OCLM also hosts free monthly potluck gatherings to help support those who are interested in exploring the realm of plant-based eating. She speaks at public events regarding the power of Lifestyle Medicine to prevent, treat, and reverse chronic diseases and co-hosts retreats based on the pillars of Lifestyle Medicine with a plant-based chef in Eureka Springs.
