Dr. Breakey is a 5th generation graduate from the University of Michigan Medical School, and he completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin in 1984. He achieved his American College of Lifestyle Medicine Board Certification in 2019. He has practiced Lifestyle Family Medicine in Ann Arbor, Michigan since 1985. He is Chairman of the Board for his medical group: IHA — A multi-specialty medical group serving over 500,000 community members in southeast Michigan. He has followed a Plant-based Lifestyle himself since 1977, and he serves on the Boards for Rochester Lifestyle Medicine Institute and for the Plant-Based Prevention of Disease (P-POD) organizations. He is also a Chair of the Board for the Plant-Based Nutrition Support Group (PBNSG). He Serves as the Medical Director for IHA’s “William J. Fileti Center for Lifestyle Medicine”.

He has a special interest in supporting the healing process we all have within us through straightforward Lifestyle changes. He applies a key focus on following a Plant-based lifestyle to prevent and, where possible, reverse the most common chronic diseases we see in America, while at the same time achieving optimal Health and Vitality. Hello! I’m a Double Board Certified Internal Med Physician specializing in Lifestyle Medicine. I have a Direct Care/ Concierge Personalized Medical Private Practice in Sarasota, FL and open to helping more patients via Telehealth. I left a 7 year traditional Primary care because of compassion fatigue and burnout. During my time off, I re-connected with my authentic self and found a way to marry my passion and purpose. My passion is cooking healthy, delicious food and my purpose is helping people. Thus, I created a new type of medical practice where I focus on providing Patient Centered, collaborative, personalized whole person health care.

With Lifestyle Medicine as my canvas, I craft together health and wellness plans that work to improve the pain points of each of my unique patients. I offer a multitude of investment plans that really help every single patient who wants to be empowered with their health.

Jill, DipACLM, is a health and wellness educator with over 25 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, eLearning, and corporate and clinical education. She started her career as a high school teacher and professional dancer which set her up for success in transitioning to corporate training and exercise science.  Jill is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine. She worked in cardiopulmonary rehab for over 8 years educating patients on the power of lifestyle changes to manage and reverse their disease. In her role, she was instrumental in bringing the The Ornish Reversal Program (ICR) to Sarasota Memorial Hospital.

Jill dedicated 10 years to the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies, beginning as a Plant-Based Nutrition Instructor and culminating her tenure as the Executive Director of Education. Among her most significant achievements was her role in the design and development of the organization’s flagship online program—the six-week Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate.

In 2024, Jill earned her Plant-Based Coaching Certificate from the Food Revolution Network. She also played a key role in creating the Foundations in Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate for The Plantrician Project, further contributing to advancing plant-based nutrition education.

Jill is the Director of Education for The Plantrician Project and is a passionate advocate for lifestyle medicine to transform and regenerate human health and health care. It is her mission to educate and empower people with knowledge about the power of lifestyle changes to improve personal and global health.

Dr. Dorothy Cohen Serna is a board certified internal medicine physician. She founded North Cypress Internal Medicine & Wellness in 1998 with the mission of providing superior, attentive and thoughtful care with a strong focus on Lifestyle Medicine and Wellness, and converted the practice to the concierge medicine model in 2017. She attained Fellowship with the American College of Physicians is part of the first group of professionals to earn certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. Serna is also a national board certified health and wellness coach. She has been named to the Texas Super Doctors list every year since 2018 and was recognized as a Distinguished Physician Leader in Concierge Medicine for 2022-2024. Dr. Serna attended medical school at the University of South Florida and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Texas Medical Center in 1997.

Dr. Young is an Arizona native who grew up in Cave Creek and now lives in north Scottsdale with her husband, Jon, and four kids. She is a currently practicing, board-certified, Emergency Medicine physician working and is certified as a diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. She graduated medical school from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, AZ in 2006 and completed Emergency Medicine residency at Maricopa Medical Center in 2009. She has been practicing for 15 years.
As an Emergency Medicine physician, Dr. Young sees patients at their most critical points, frequently on the worst day of their lives.  Her job is to stabilize, rule out life-threatening conditions and treat any acute illnesses. Often what brings patients to the emergency department are things that could have been avoided with lifestyle changes. Heart disease, cancer, stroke and diabetes are among the top 10 leading causes of death in the United States. Through lifestyle changes, patients are able to significantly reduce their risk for all of these!
Dr. Young loves working in the emergency department but found herself wishing she had more time to spend with patients. When she sees patients in the ED, she can touch briefly on simple things they can do to take charge of their health, but her interactions are limited by time. She is excited to start Sozo Lifestyle Medicine so that she can change her pace, develop relationships with her patients and help support them as they take charge of their health. Through lifestyle interventions that reverse chronic disease as well as her skillset as an Emergency Medicine physician, she will do her best to help her patients stay healthy and out of the emergency department.
Her hope for Sozo is to create a place of community, health, service, life and joy.

David Dunaief, MD, is an internist specializing in integrative medicine. He focuses on the reversal, prevention, and treatment of chronic diseases through a nutrient-dense approach, fitness, and stress management.
He is an active researcher on the impacts of diet on health, with several published studies in peer-reviewed medical journals, and he presents regularly at corporations, academic centers, wellness expos, and scientific meetings on topics pertaining to integrative/lifestyle medicine. He serves as a medical adviser to Plant Powered Metro New York, which empowers people to overcome chronic disease through whole food, plant-based nutrition.

Michelle Joy Kramer, CHHC, AADP, is a Board-
Certified Holistic Health Practitioner and Integrative
Nutrition Health Coach. She assists individuals and
corporate teams in achieving their optimal health
through healthy lifestyle choices regarding nutrition,
exercise, spirituality, relationships, and careers.
Her expertise includes: Executive Health, Corporate
Group Health Programs, Heart Rate Conditioning,
Whole Food Living for Athletes and Superfoods for
Sustainable Energy and Stamina. She is a graduate of
the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York
City, accredited by the American Association of
Drugless Practitioners, and has completed CEU and
Certification Programs for Health Counseling through
Purchase College, State University of New York.
Michelle serves on the advisory boards for The
Plantrician Project and Sun Chlorella. She is a member
of The Physicians Committee for Responsible
Medicine and The American College of Lifestyle
Medicine. She is also the proud organizer of a vibrant
whole foods plant-based community in Naples,
Florida, and her Global Private Health Coaching

Michelle is an accomplished top competing triathlete
who qualified and competed in the IRONMAN World
Championship in Hawaii and the Boston Marathon.
Michelle has been dedicated to Bikram Yoga for over 25 years and also practices Transcendental Meditation.

Dr. Katipally is board certified in American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) and American Board of Lifestyle Medicine (ABLM). After practicing the traditional medicine for over 15 years and serving as the medical director for various busy service-lines in the academic and university health/corporate systems – he pivoted his personal journey, career path and practice toward plant-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine. After his ABLM certification followed by the certification in Plant-based Nutrition program by Dr. T. Colin Campbell’s Center for Nutrition Studies at Cornell Univ. (eCornell), he founded the New ME Health Center for Lifestyle Medicine – his dream comprehensive Lifestyle Medicine Center to help his patients arrest and potentially reverse their diabetes and other lifestyle related diseases through Intensive Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes (iTLC).

Timaree is a plant-based registered dietitian nutritionist, certified exercise physiologist with a master’s degree in public health and over 20 years of experience as a college nutrition professor. While she has worked with thousands of people of all ages, from many different cultures, to achieve and surpass their health-related goals, (improving their blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar levels, digestion, and energy, losing weight and reducing/eliminating the need for medications), she also “walks the talk” in her own daily actions that support holistic wellness. You can find her eating nourishing plant-based whole food (that loves her back), moving her body every day in ways that keep her strong and feeling energized, staying hydrated and prioritizing physical and mental self-care.    Timaree pours her heart into working with a select number of private coaching clients and leading the fun and engaging Foodie Bar Way of Life community. She is PBNSG’s dietitian and a chef contributor, conducts local and virtual events, corporate wellness work, serves on the Plant-Based Prevention of Disease Executive Board, and has contributed to several cookbooks and her OWN cookbook (The Foodie Bar Way). Timaree’s had the honor of speaking across the nation, writing for newspapers and online media outlets and being featured in many TV segments and web appearances (California Bountiful TV, Studio40, Chef AJ Show, Nutmeg Notebook, etc.) She also has experience working as a dietitian in a variety of practice settings ranging from the acute care hospital and ambulatory clinics, to community nutrition and performing medical nutrition therapy for renal patients.    “I get very passionate about combining fun and practicality, offering strategies and inspiration for finding pleasure in preparing and enjoying nourishing meals and taking very good care of ourselves!”

SUZANNAH BOZZONE, MD For years, I was prescribing medicine I wouldn’t take myself and frustrated by the seemingly incurable state of our most prevalent, deadly and costly chronic diseases. Finally, I found Lifestyle Medicine, which is not only strongly evidence-based, but resonates with my desire to treat myself, my family and my patients more in accordance with nature’s guidance and, most importantly, addressing diseases from their root causes, rather than covering up symptoms. Best of all, this method empowers patients, rather than dictating dependence on our pharmaceutically-driven medical system. Dr. Bozzone moved to the Chattanooga area from Sonoma, CA, where she worked for six years in private practice and community health. She previously served as the Medical Director of Wellness at Sonoma Valley Hospital. Dr. Bozzone is happily married with three young children and loves to swim, practice yoga and sing in any spare moment she can find.

I am passionate about helping women and their families gain control of their health. I meet you where you are and together we build personalized, integrative plans that focus on building foundations of optimal health. My lifelong interest in promoting and encouraging healthy lifestyles began as a young gymnast years ago. I competed at the elite level, was a member of the U.S. National Team, and earned a full scholarship to the Stanford University Women’s Gymnastics Team. After four years as a Division I NCAA student-athlete, I began training and racing triathlons while earning my master’s degree. After graduating I helped build sports programs for kids in Japan, organized triathlons and led bike tours in the Southwest, and managed the sports program for Special Olympics Nevada. I then spent three years inspiring audience members performing as a professional acrobat in Cirque du Soleil’s KA at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, while also continuing to participate in full-distance triathlons. I was then introduced to naturopathic medicine during a 4,500-mile, self-supported bicycle trip with my husband where we witnessed the unequivocal interconnectedness of the environment and health. I was motivated to learn more and earned my naturopathic doctorate degree from Bastyr University while growing our family. I now have my own, small private practice in Maple Valley, WA where I encourage, coach, and help patients live their best life in person and via telemedicine. As a mom of three, I understand the juggle of home, work, school, play, self-care, and all the roles that come with being a mother. I count myself amongst the lucky ones. In contrast, to most medical school educations, I had the privilege of spending hundreds of hours in nutrition during my doctorate at Sonoran University (previously Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine) and it was there that I first became exposed to the likes of Ornish, Esselstyn, Campbell, Goldhamer and others, to name a few. The underlying tenants that I practice, embrace a philosophy of health and wellness rooted in prevention. To this end, nutrition is central to all health and a Whole Food Plant Based orientation is quite simply, the best way to accomplish this task.    I remember an instance several years ago when my son, Silas, came home from school, recounting a story of one of his 6-year old classmates, who brought not one, but two cans of Mountain Dew in his packed lunch. As I sighed and braced myself for the inevitable, why-can’t-I-have-soda-in-my-lunch question, I pondered how best to answer his concerns. But, he never asked that question. Instead he stated with some level of resignation in his voice, “Well, mom, I guess that’s what we should expect from some kids, after all, his mom isn’t a Naturopathic doctor.”   In my mind, that moment crystallizes a couple of principles that seem to characterize the WFPB lifestyle and my own core values. (1) Practice what you preach and be the change you wish to see in the world. (2) Change is often caught rather than taught, often when we least expect it, even though it can seem difficult or even insurmountable.
