My practice encompasses all general pediatric care including outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital services from newborns through adolescence covering acute and chronic care. Practicing medicine for me is about focusing on preventative measures and helping patients and families develop healthy lifestyle choices so they can live their best lives. This includes recommending a Whole Food Plant Based diet, routine physical activity, good sleep hygiene, reducing stress, staying socially connected and reducing risky and unhealthy behaviors. I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Diplomate in the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
I work as a pediatrician caring for the general health of children from birth to early adulthood. I am board certified in pediatrics and have been in practice for nearly 25 years. Once I became aware of the role food and proper nutition has on our health and happiness, I changed my diet to a Whole Food Plant Based diet and have never looked back. Additionally, I have started to implement education of and encouragement for a healthier diet in all of the children and thier families that I care for, knowing that through a proper foundation in science based nutrition our children’s future health, environment and world will be brighter.Â

She obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Johns Hopkins University and her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Shah has a strong interest in family health and wellness, with a focus on plant-based nutrition.
