I’m passionate about plant-based nutrition and love helping others discover how it can change their lives. My journey started over 16 years ago when I fully embraced a vegan lifestyle. It didn’t take long for me to realize that going vegan wasn’t just the best thing I could do for animals—it’s one of the best things I can do for our planet and health!
To spread the word, I founded a nonprofit promoting a vegan lifestyle. Over the years, I noticed that most people have misconceptions about plant-based nutrition, which inspired me to study nutrition more deeply. I wanted to give people clear, science-backed information they could trust. That led to several certifications and courses to build my knowledge base.
​My formal nutrition education began in 2018 with a year-long Plant-Based Raw Food Nutrition Educator certification. Then, in 2022, I earned a certificate in plant-based nutrition from eCornell/ Center for Nutrition Studies. I’ve also completed specialized gut health courses, studying the human microbiome through Wageningen University & Research as well as plant-centered gut health through The Plant-Fed Gut Masterclass
​While working with nutrition clients, I realized that people still need help to make lasting changes, even when they have good information. That’s when I became a health coach to help bridge that gap. In 2023, I completed the Certified Plant-Based Health Coach program through the Food Revolution Network, followed by a certificate in ACT Behavioral Change in 2024.
​I’m committed to sharing current and accurate information and keeping up to date with the latest research and nutrition developments. I’ve taken additional coursework through George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, studying everything from Keto and Paleo diets to cholesterol and the effect of dairy consumption on cancer.
​I’m deeply frustrated by how many people suffer from preventable diseases and get caught in the endless cycle of fad diets that never lead to lasting health. Seeing so many struggle when real, sustainable change is within reach is disheartening. That’s why I’m dedicated to sharing the magic of a whole-food, plant-based diet!

My plant-based journey started over a decade ago when an initial mammogram indicated a heightened risk for breast cancer. Research into the lifestyle changes I could make to reduce my cancer risk led me to a plant-based diet. I have since developed a passion for the evidence-based science behind a whole-food plant-based diet for optimum health. I am certified in plant-based nutrition through the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies at eCornell and earned my initial health coach certification through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). I have also completed the Lifestyle Medicine for Coaches training, offered jointly by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and Wellcoaches, and earned an additional certification in Plant-based Coaching through the Food Revolution Network. I am currently preparing for the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaches Certification Exam. As a complement to my work as a health coach, I am a certified yoga instructor, Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist, and Jazzercise instructor, passionate about lifelong fitness, movement, and mindfulness. I am also an educator with over 25 years of experience teaching college students and other adults.

Read more…As a board-certified physician, Air Force veteran, and plant-based health coach, I bring over seven years of nutrition study to my practice. I hold a BS from the University of Maryland, an MD from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and a plant-based coaching certification from Food Revolution Network. Since discovering the benefits of whole food plant-based eating in 2017, I’ve dedicated myself to supporting others in improving their health and achieving sustainable weight loss, combining my medical expertise with holistic wellness knowledge.
