Weight loss, gut health and reversing chronic diseases through plant-based eating. Using food as medicine and teaching plant-based cooking classes.
Do you worry about chronic inflammation, heart disease or cancer. Maybe you can relate to how I felt before I regained control over my heath. I was sick and tired of feeling lousy and not having enough energy to get through my day. I was shocked when my doctor told me I was pre-diabetic, had high cholesterol, fatty liver disease and on the cusp of being diagnosed as obese. Does any of this sound familiar and keep you up at night or keep you from doing the things you love, like playing with your kids or grandkids, or walking your dog? Do any of these health issues keep you from participating in events with family and friends? Would you love to drop excess weight more easily and keep it off, get off prescription medications for high cholesterol or blood pressure, wake up feeling refreshed and full of energy, no longer have to wear a glucose monitor, take insulin shots and avoid eating carbohydrates? What results would you love to have so you can do what you want, when you want?
I’ve had amazing results while on my wellness journey by leaning into plant-based eating to resolve multiple, chronic lifestyle diseases without medications, excessive exercise, dieting or feeling deprived. Along the way, I earned my Plant-Based Nutrition certification from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and eCornell and I’m a graduate of the Food Revolution Network’s Plant-based Coaching Certification program. I graduated from the Rouxbe (Forks Over Knives) Plant-based cooking course and I’m currently enrolled in the McDougall Starch Based certification program. I completed Claire Zammit’s Institute for Women-Centered Coaching, Foundations of Women-Centered Coaching Program and Dr. Will Bulsiewicz’s Plant Fed Gut program. I’m currently enrolled in the Married to Health, Good Gut SIBO/IBS program with Dalia Marin, RDN, LD, CGN and James Marin, RD, EN.
With my experience, education in plant-based nutrition and coaching training, I can help you reach your health and wellness goals faster and easier than trying to do it alone. By embracing food as medicine, you can kick start and sustain the health and wellness results you would love and deserve! Let’s do this!

Although Dr. Kotlerman was running a successful practice in nutrition, it was obvious that there was a missing piece, as many clients needed more. It was at this time that Dr. Kotlerman walked the El Camino de Santiago, in Europe, and had a life-changing experience that showed her that she needed to commit to the process of being a chiropractor. Four days after returning to the United States, she was enrolled in Life West Chiropractic College in San Francisco, CA.
She graduated Life West Chiropractic College with Emerald clinical honors and as a recipient of the Carl Dieter Philosophy Scholarship. Dr. Kotlerman received education and certification in: Thompson drop table, toggle, diversified Gonstead, activator, DNFT, pediatric, pregnancy, and SOT Chiropractic techniques.
Dr. Kotlerman has since specialized in Averio FNT, a tonal, low-force chiropractic technique that uses sustained contact in specific areas in order to change spinal alignment and function.
Dr. Kotlerman is a published author with two books. Her clinical results book, “Exceptional Health: You Can Have It!” and her personal memoir, “Seeing Magic“. I am passionate about helping women and their families gain control of their health. I meet you where you are and together we build personalized, integrative plans that focus on building foundations of optimal health. My lifelong interest in promoting and encouraging healthy lifestyles began as a young gymnast years ago. I competed at the elite level, was a member of the U.S. National Team, and earned a full scholarship to the Stanford University Women’s Gymnastics Team. After four years as a Division I NCAA student-athlete, I began training and racing triathlons while earning my master’s degree. After graduating I helped build sports programs for kids in Japan, organized triathlons and led bike tours in the Southwest, and managed the sports program for Special Olympics Nevada. I then spent three years inspiring audience members performing as a professional acrobat in Cirque du Soleil’s KA at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, while also continuing to participate in full-distance triathlons. I was then introduced to naturopathic medicine during a 4,500-mile, self-supported bicycle trip with my husband where we witnessed the unequivocal interconnectedness of the environment and health. I was motivated to learn more and earned my naturopathic doctorate degree from Bastyr University while growing our family. I now have my own, small private practice in Maple Valley, WA where I encourage, coach, and help patients live their best life in person and via telemedicine. As a mom of three, I understand the juggle of home, work, school, play, self-care, and all the roles that come with being a mother. My passion is helping you navigate your own juggle so that you can optimize both your own and your family’s health. I cannot wait to hear your story!
